Who would call this an illegal billboard poster? Are you mad, this looks fabulous? And when you’re walking through the Meatpacking district in New York City and spot it, admittedly, it tickles us yellow! (more…)
At Origin of Image we are all about ‘bespoke’, we love original methods that produce unique results, but how about a little history so we can really get an idea of what ‘bespoke’ means when it comes to the printing side of our industry? Where did print start, when and in what process order did we progress (and at what point did the machines take over… eek!)? I found out! (more…)
I found that the business card is serious business for Parisian bistros, paper merchants and ateliers. The places we visited, (only some of which were new) felt like institutions of the city of lights and were run by proud (sometimes mistaken for snobby) proprietors who were more than willing to elaborate on the finer details of their trades. What about the feeling you get when you’re confronted with certain colors? What made you fill your triangle with yellow rather than red for one client and then blue for another? (more…)
Paperless society? I don’t think so. Look at all the unique and wonderful business cards you can pick up on your travels (this group from our NYC visit end of 2009). These cards are thin, thick, smooth and textured, embossed and foiled, small and large. (more…)
